RATES:
Trailside Hideaway Campground is open year around and is located on the Nicolet State Trail and the Rat River in the Nicolet National Forest. From there, you can enjoy your favorite trail activities: ATV/UTV, snowmobiling, walking/hiking, bicycling, horseback riding, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing and much more. EASY TRAIL ACCESS.
Each campsite is spacious, private, wooded with a picnic table, and fire-pit. Sites 1-38 have both water and electric hook-up. There are 16 additional sites with water, electric, and sewer that are only available for yearly reservations. Self-registration is available for your convenience when you arrive (sorry, no credit cards). Play area for the kids and yard games for the adults are available for campers to use. A dump-station is available to utilize when exiting. The restrooms, shower house, and laundry room are extraordinary! WIFI is not available at the campground at this time. A group site is also available that will fit 3 to 5 campers nicely. Newly added in 2022 is a parking area and a 1.3 mile walking/biking trail. An eagle is hidden on the trail for people to find and re-hide for the next person. In 2024 a pavilion was added for camping gatherings and free for campers to use. There is also a walking trail to the Rat River, with a picnic and sitting area by the river. It's a beautiful location for pictures. Yearly sites are limited, so always call ahead of time for availability. Yearly sites run from May 1 thru April 30 and you have access to your campsite year-round. Many campers come up during the winter months and stay in their camper and snowmobile. Camping at Trailside gives you unique opportunities that other campgrounds may not offer.

2025 Events
* Kids Krafts on Saturdays at 9am *not every Saturday/check calendar at Camp*
* Father's Day Ride is set for June 14, 2025 in memory of David C Belland! This ride is a fundraiser for scholarships for area Seniors entering a field of trade. There is a $5 entry fee and a BBQ dinner is served back at the pavilion at the end of the ride. Door prizes are given out during the ride.
* HOBO Ride is October 11, 2025. Entry fee is a can of soup. We also collect food donations for the local food pantry. It's a fun ride with door prizes given out along the way. At the end of the ride we come back to camp and combine the soups for HOBO soup. It looks horrible, but always is very yummy!

Yearly Sites Are Still Available For May 1, 2025 thru April 30, 2026
There are yearly sites available with water, sewer, and electric. Those sites start at $2,100 per year and you have access all year to your camper. Electricity is metered and costs extra and is billed quarterly.
We also have a few sites with water and electric that start at $1,500 per year (electricity is extra). Come and check it out!
